This was supposed to be a portrait of Hamlet, one of the bunnies who lived with me (he's an ex lab rabbit). But I'm not really happy with the likeness. I think monochrome ink isn't the best way to go about this, maybe I can decide on another medium later. I always wanted to make little paintings of all of my animals, but I somehow never did. We'll see.

These are all the cards I got back from my postcard exchange a few weeks ago, and a number of cards kind people sent me throughout winter. They're mostly art made by the artists themselves or animal rights cards they chose or made themselves. Some people managed to get extra bonus points for even combining the two 😘

I hope I got everyone in here and matched all names and cards right. I can't tag each person, as they came from a number of different social platforms, but if you're interested to know more about the person behind an untagged card, just comment below and ask. I still don't know who sent the zombie monkey, though!

I don't have a great camera, so a number of cards really don't get the best representation in these photos, but I was so very happy about each and every one of these! You really cheered me up, guys. And a fair number of them will go up on my walls. ALL of the stickers I received with some of the cards will totally go on my sketch books!

Now I hope I can do this sort of thing again next winter 🙌

This is Tari, an incredibly lucky blind cat I'm taking care of right now, until she can move into a new home. While people seem to go crazy over all the corona news and measures, I'm staying in my cave as usual, treating her ear parasites and working. I've had a lot of personal drama recently, even before the pandemic, and I'm really tired. But it's nice to have a cat to cuddle with (I never had one before) and let her teach me how not to be afraid. I hope you have something nice as well to keep your heads above water.
If you can, please support artists who are struggling right now because of events that are getting cancelled and all the chaos around.

Please stay safe and at home, keep your distance, wash your hands etc. We're all grown up, we can handle this.

Little known fact: I am actually capable of depicting things other than animals.

This plus another flower painting were gifts. They were painted in coloured ink and the blossoms actually glitter. Sometimes that's necessary, you know?

I just sent out about 40 postcards to 8 countries

I just sent out about 40 postcards to 8 countries in all, using up my jumbled collection of postage stamps. Return cards have already begun to trickle in, and as always I feel a little shabby for just using plain, simple cards when some people go to the trouble of sending theirs in envelopes, add stickers or similar. But I thank each of you who takes part, this is a lot of fun ! 💞
