I have big, big news!
After 3,5 years of silent and patient preparation, I am now ready to share my Super Secret Project with the world:

It is a long-format webcomic called BEING MONSTERS.
And I’m going to launch it on the 17th of October 2021.
You will be able to read it on www.beingmonsters.com (in English & German) and on Webtoon (in English, scroll format).

What is it about?
Being Monsters is a Beauty and the Beast story that’s not at all what you expected.
Idealistic misfit Claire chases her escaped dog through a rose hedge and discovers the hideout of a real-life Monster. In order to get her dog back, she has to confront the creature – every single day. She soon finds herself trying to unravel the mysteries surrounding the place. And attempts to get her messy life back together at the same time.
A modern fairy tale, drama and detective story about non-conformity, making difficult decisions and peaceful coexistence.

Launching this comic is me finally living my dream and becoming what I’d call an “actual” comic artist (not just an occasional one). It’s going to change my artist life quite a bit (it already has since the start of pre-production) and I really hope you’ll like what I have to show. This project certainly contains all my heart! ♥︎

Und ich werde ihn am 17. Oktober 2021 offiziell starten.

Meine Patreon-Seite wird dieses Projekt im Lauf der folgenden Jahre finanzieren. Hinter diesem Vorhaben steht kein Verlag, es ist vollständig ein Independent-Projekt. Patreon-Unterstützer haben Zugriff auf die folgenden Dinge:

Worum geht es?
Being Monsters ist eine Schöne-und-das-Biest-Geschichte, aber völlig anders als du erwartest.
Die idealistische Außenseiterin Claire verfolgt ihren entlaufenen Hund durch eine Rosenhecke und entdeckt das Versteck eines leibhaftigen Monsters. Um ihren Hund zurückzubekommen, muss sie die Kreatur konfrontieren – und das jeden Tag. Schon bald versucht sie auch, das Gewirr aus Geheimnissen zu lüften, die den Ort umgeben. Und nebenbei bemüht sie sich, ihr verkorkstes Leben wieder in den Griff zu bekommen.
Ein modernes Märchen, Drama und Detektivgeschichte über Nonkonformität, das Treffen schwieriger Entscheidungen und friedliche Koexistenz.

Diesen Comic zu starten bedeutet für mich wirklich, meinen Traum zu leben. Jetzt traue ich mich, mich eine “echte” Comiczeichnerin zu nennen, statt nur eine “gelegentliche”. Being Monsters wird mein Leben ganz schön verändern (hat es bereits seit Beginn der Vorproduktion) und ich hoffe wirklich, dass euch gefällt, was ich zu zeigen habe. Dieses Projekt kommt auf jeden Fall absolut von Herzen! ♥︎
